Wash your face at night and don’t apply any moisturisers for 12 hours. Please don’t wear any make-up for 24 hours. After the treatment, you may experience some soreness and pain over the treated areas.

Bruising and swelling are definite possibilities with any filler. We provide pre and post care instructions to you to minimise your chances of bruising as best we can. Any swelling or bruising that does occur will normally resolve itself in one to two weeks. We encourage you to follow up with us if you have any concerns.

Depending on your individual pain tolerance, and where you’re using the filler, discomfort levels vary. We use a medical strength topical numbing agent to make all filler injections as comfortable as possible. Most people report little more than mild discomfort.

Again, this is entirely case-specific. It will depend on what product you purchase and the area you are treating, as well as how quick your metabolism is. As a general rule, fillers last between 6 – 12 months. The thickest fillers may last longer – generally 18 – 24 months. When you are treated, we can give you an estimate of how long your specific filler might last.

For most patients, this treatment results in an immediate improvement because the placement of the threads offers a lift right away. Your results will fully develop, or settle, over the next month as the body begins to ramp up collagen production that will offer longer-term support.

The procedure itself is minimally invasive and does cause micro-injuries to the skin. As such, we use anaesthetic before their treatment which will ensure that they remain comfortable and relaxed throughout.
